Hunter Wellingtons have been the leading manufacturer of wellington boots since the 1800’s. The company really took off during the 1st world war where they made well over 1 million military boots suitable for the trenches and wet conditions. The same demand occurred during the 2nd world war but with a greater increase in other essential war materials.

The original green wellington boot was made in 1955 and it was the first orthopedic wellington boot that was ever made.

Having supplied the royal family with hunter wellington boots for many years and kept many important feet dry, in 1977 Hunter was rewarded a Royal Warrant from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh. This was followed in 1987 by a Royal Warrant from HM The Queen.

This cemented Hunters reputation for being the number 1 wellington boots for all occasions.
